I’m calling it Feb is definitely the new Jan! I have been lapping up my holidays this year and as January is coming to a close and the more full my calendar becomes so does the realisation that the holidays are coming to an end..even though I have been back at mahi for a few weeks now lol😆.
Anyyyway, regardless of all that I think its safe to say that I have been slaaaacking on this blog. I always have good intentions and even have some posts ready but to say 2023 has been crazy is probably an understatement lol…but that could also be due the fact that I was not keeping myself organised at all lol.
After 3 years of being back here it makes me laugh thinking about the conversations we had when contemplating moving back and my biggest thing was how easily bored I can become and in a big city with so much to do, that was never really an issue but in a small town with not so much to do (so I thought) it might be an issue lol but I can confidently say that I am definitely a lot busier here then I was in Sydney haha.
After looking through my photos of 2023, there has been a lot of fun times. Starting the year off with a roadie to Te Matatini, Homegrown in wellington (both mentioned A New Zealand Summer), The beginning of Te Ngare ō Turongo, Ngā Iti Rearea ki Te Manakuratahi, Hanana Kohanga Reo’s 40th Huritau, a looooot of creating which in turn means a lot of late nights in the shed LOL, celebrating those with us and those no longer here and somehow I managed to fit all of this around my actual 9-5 job LOL.
So here it is, a recap of my 2023 ✌🏽
Happy New Year to you all and here is to 2024, wishing everyone and their families a year of health, happiness and doing all the things you love✌🏽
